Meet Dr. Ryder
After more than four decades in veterinary medicine, Dr. Linda Ryder continues to serve pets and their families through Companion Animal House Calls.
Following her retirement from regular small-animal practice in 2025, she recognized the need for compassionate in-home end-of-life care and guidance for families facing difficult decisions about their beloved pets.
Her mission is simple: to provide a calm, supportive experience that allows pets to remain in the comfort of home while helping families navigate the process with confidence, dignity, and compassion.

Dr. Ryder met her husband while working in a veterinary clinic in Williamsburg in 1984. They married in 1987 and have shared their lives with many beloved cats and Golden Retrievers over the years.
Her personal experiences as a pet owner help shape the understanding and compassion she brings to every family she serves.
